More Rose Gold Ring Love

I am really in love with the beautiful color of rosé gold.

Pure gold is yellow in color but it is rarely used pure because it is very soft.

So - usually gold will be alloyed with other elements like zinc, silver and copper in various portions to make it harder and more resistant but also to create different colors.

Generally the addition of more silver will color gold white and the addition of more copper will color it rosé.

I added 3 more ring designs to the existing collection.

This large beautiful soft rose quartz cabochon fits the rosé tone of the gold ring perfectly.

It is also available with a smoky rock quartz, too as shown on the left picture.

And I offer matching bracelets to these rings as well.

The ring is made of 925 silver, is rosé gold plated and costs 79Euro + shipping and handling.

Sunstone

There couldn't be a prettier name for this gemstone than "Sunstone"!

Tiny tyny sparkly light spots like hundreds of little mini suns are all over the stone.

So cheerful and summery...

Can you see them? It's not easy to capture them on a photo.

I looked up the healing properties of the Sunstone and here is, what I found:

"The Sunstone is a 'light-bearer' and shines - like the sun itself - right into the heart.

It is being worshiped for protection since ancient times. The Greek dedicated the Sunstone to Helios, the sun god - to protect earth.

Mantra Meaning And Musing Part 2

Again I picked three more Mantras and will try to freely explain their meaning:

"Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu" is a really wonderful Mantra meanig: May all beings everywhere be happy and free...isn't that beautifully said???

"Om Shantih" could be interpreted as: Peace within you and with everything else...

"Om Namah Shivaya" is honoring Shivas' powers.

All items are one-of-a-kind and handmade by me! I use silver for the metal parts - the rosé tone is 20 miliem gold plated - and different semiprecious and precious beads.

Mantra Meaning And Musing Part 1

When I moved from southern California to a rural village in northern Germany, my yoga classmates transformed from Hollywood celebrities and world-class teachers to cats and computers.

Also, lately there is definitely a lack of Mantras going on during my every day morning practice...One scraggy breathed "Om" along the hardwood floors...Spirituality? - are you there???

Well - uhm - I just keep warming up then for now...

....and show you three of my favorite Mantras:

'So Hum':Symbolizes life's steady rhythm and energy. Breathing in, the sound 'soooo' emanates - breathing out the sound 'hummm' leaves the body. Easy to hear without even saying the words. Just consciously breathe through the nose and there it is...

'Om Namaste': 'Om' THE cosmic ur-sound, applied since thousands of years to harmonize body, soul and spirit and to manifest oneness and connectedness within each and everything. 'Namaste' - I'm sure you know - is a greeting- and worship gesture and symbolizes as well all-embracing oneness.

'Om Mani Padme Hum': 'Om' and 'Hum' stand for beginning and end; 'Mani Padme' invokes the Absolute. Freely interpreted it's a Mantra for Wisdom and Compassion.

Next time I'll show you three more mantras.

Usually mantras are sung or recited at the beginning and end of a yoga session. That could be a "simple" 'Om' or more elaborate and longer Sanskrit texts or chants. Unfortunately that's already too much for some. Too much Spirituality - too much Meditation - too much weirdness - to much yoga fuss...

Everyone needs to make up it's own mind - for me it's actually not too important to know the exact meaning or translation of a mantra - I just welcome and embrace these magical, strange sounds and words with an open mind. It's about taking in it's awesome sound energy: Invigorating, harmonizing and relaxing!

Actually all forms of singing are pleasant, comforting and really healthy. Even the planets are humming in certain frequencies! Do you hear the beat under your feet???

Aquamarine, Carnelian, Turquoise, Ruby...Fireworks of color

Many of you have asked about the jewelry life i had before the birth of my sweet son and our move to the U.S.

Both events actually happened pretty much at the same time, so back then I thought: "Oh, perfect - this will be a nice little creativity refreshing break from designing. I'll leave my workplace in Germany and I'll start again in a couple years...!" not knowing, that this was going to be a much longer stay than originally planned....

Yeah...all of the sudden it's been 12 years later and I have done a lot different things in this time BUT designing and crafting jewelry...

NOW

FINALLY - after carefully dusting layers of dust-bunnies off my old workspace...

...I'm sitting down creating a little lebenslustiger.com collection!

It's been an interesting process so far, because over the time of all those years with all it's great big and small life-moments for which i feel so grateful, my work and life attitude has much shifted from being a seriously ambitious Goldsmith to being a seriously ambitious Lifesmith in search for a more joyful and vivacious existence. Cutting edge design has been replaced by happily cutting yummy apples; hours of bending over the workplace by hours bend over my yoga mat or spend with my family.

Exactly THIS 'spirit' will be reflected in the style of lebenslustiger.com jewelry.

Ethically conscious work methods and material choices together with playful, vibrant color compositions, messages and expressions will result in exuberant, poetic pieces, which will be reminders and impulsion's to live life fully.

Here is a sneak preview of pieces that could become your companions in traveling your life with you every day; happy to accompany you in the flow or cheer you up if you need to.
